"This single piece of slate was part of several development-study pieces completed as preparation researches for a larger work that now forms the street facades of opposing elevator bays in the Hurt Building in Atlanta, Georgia. The final work consisted of two wall-mounted reliefs composed of six joined panels, with each assembly measuring eighteen feet by seven feet high. See also exhibits #9 and #17 for additional studies for this project. " |
