Mike's Pastry

Perhaps one of the most delicate design problems is how to bring to the world wide web a neighborhood and national legend.

Mike's Pastry is a North End Tradition whose story is yet to be told. We photographed hundreds of inventory items, both on-site and in our studio, to begin the task of cataloguing the offerings of this most comprehensive Italian bakery.

In addition to building a visual reportoire of Mike's delicacies, we researched and documented as well the stories behind these items, while presenting them in a modern and visually compelling fashion.

This site was a great deal of fun to make, not to mention delicious.

Crosstown will be working with Mike's to develop an on line store of specially designed souveniers including hats and T-shirts.
